Ardent MAGA politician Marjorie Taylor Greene has broken with President Donald Trump over the release of the Epstein Files. She is now demanding their publication, despite Trump demanding they remain hidden and attacking her as a result.
Meanwhile, for months, Trump has tried to distract the publics attention from the Epstein Files. For example, he has called them a “Democrat hoax” meant to distract from his accomplishments as President. He has also scolded Greene and other Republican lawmakers and supporters who expressed support for releasing the files.

His anger escalated when Democratic Representative Adelina Grijalva was finally sworn in by Speaker Mike Johnson. Grijalva had vowed to be the crucial 218th vote to bring a bill to the House floor to release the Epstein Files. Johnson, firmly aligned with the President, delayed her confirmation as long as he could.
Donald Trump Rages
As a result of Representative Grijalva’s confirmation to the House of Representatives, Trump exploded.
He demanded that the Department of Justice open new investigations into Epstein’s associates—effectively targeting everyone except himself. Reopening the Epstein investigations could give the Supreme Court a reason to side with Trump if the fight over public release reaches them.
Until now, Trump had largely ignored individual Republicans calling for transparency. But with a vote now imminent, he turned his anger toward Greene, denouncing her as a “RINO” and withdrawing his longstanding endorsement of her. His supporters quickly escalated and began flooding her with threats.
Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene continued to speak out in sympathy for Epstein’s victims and pledged to vote to release the files. She responded to his admonishments and threats by taking to Twitter/X to explain her position and how the break with Trump occurred. This has made for much entertainment for anyone Left of MAGA.
Even so, it’s important to remember: even when Republicans like Greene or Adam Kinzinger agree with us on Trump’s corruption, they remain opposed to most progressive goals. We can applaud their stance against Trump, but we shouldn’t expect them to fight for us on much else.
